Festivals

Outdoor festivals can be an experience to remember. The first picture featured is of the 2nd time I entered the Belleville Strawberry festival. Since I lived in Belleville for Nine years, attendance seemed only natural. I thought it to be one of the more fun festivals I've attended, even though my sales weren't so hot.  You learn quick, when it comes to outside real estate, its all about location, location, location. Plus, I could always count on my family (Mother pictured left, Deborah), and friends, (Crystal, not pictured but always intrumental) for support when things got rough in the mean streets.

The Second Picture was at an annual Plymouth festival, where they partake in arts, music and assorted local cuisine. Another learning experience, as timing plays a huge part in the sales, as well as marketing your products in a comfortable fashion. Spectators and patrons alike would fill the booth. However, It was at this particular festival I learned how valuable it can be to keep your eyes open on your fellow vendors as well.  As time goes on, eyes wander to the neiboring competition-it's only natural.  Making the best use of this time can be an excellent networking tool if you let it.

I look forward to more festival, crosswinds, tent issues, and caffeine-fueled bathroom dilemmas in the near future. Check back for updates.
